TARGET MARKET

The target market I am looking for are people who are into the lifestyle of skateboarding, snowboarding, and surfing. The brand or company is called Nomadik. It only exists in Japan at the moment since we are small and that is where our market is. We have a hiccup in the process of running in the USA because there is a company by the exact same name that is outdoor camping site that delivers camping goods. My friend and I started our brand at our garage silkscreening t-shirts and selling them at snowboard, surf and skateboard events around Japan. We would like to broaden our horizons by tapping into bigger markets like America and Europe.

Week 5A

Despite both being gardening companies, it is very obvious what type of demographics Myrtle Creek is aiming towards compared to Armstrong. Myrtle Creek is going for the suave and hip type of people, while Armstrong aims to service a more “basic” crowd. The reason I say this is from the layout of the website. Armstrong has more of the Walmart type feeling, discount appeals and several types of service offerings. Myrtle Creek, on the other hand, aims for more of the experience than just buying their products. I would say Myrtle really wants to appeal their originality and that they have several unique services such as cafes and attractions.   Lets say someone needed a certain type of plant or shovel or seed, they would go to Armstrong without question. But this same person who probably is into plants would most likely go to Myrtle Creek for the ambience or pure enjoyment. This is where I see a cross over between the two businesses. The tone for both places is same in the sense t

Week4 part 2

Www.stabmag.com and www.whatyouth.com are two websites I check more than two or three times a day. these websites are my go to because of the content they release. It is always fast and very interesting. They both serve basic functions of having the latest news and videos on the homepage and the streaming is smooth.   WHATYOUTH has a very clean and simple design. They use great pictures and the font is very easy to the eye. The spacing and balance of the website makes it easy to read. Stab is a little more content rich which makes the site feel more cluttered but in a good way. You know you have options to choose from whether your looking for articles or cinema. What makes me come back to both these sites is their content. They always have good stuff going on. They give me what I want, whether its a good story, video or photos. The only thing that could improve are the annoying newsletter sign up pop ups. Thats just annoying to me but otherwise there is not too much to co

Week 4

Aesthetics, Design, and Branding http://www.roverp6cars.com/ http://jamilin.com/ These two websites need a serious facelift from what I am seeing from the get-go. Depending on the year both sites were built, they would not last a second in anyone’s eyes in today’s current market. The roverp6cars site is straightforward but design wise archaic. At least they have listed exactly what you can find from them without even possibly calling the company.   Ms.Jami Lin’s site just seems sketchy to me. I am not convinced one bit in what she is selling just from and the “lots of free stuff” part has me baffled.   Whether they are really selling something worthy to people or not if both companies are interested in improving business I heavily recommend a website do-over. Keeping it simple and design wise relevant could go a long way and most definitely trimming the fat. Not every detail needs to be known about a certain subject. Keeping the customer on their toes will keep them w

Week 3

In previous years I was never the type to contact a business unless it was a reservation at a restaurants or something on a very light matter. They either pick up or they don’t and thats all. I never have commented or direct messaged a business about my concerns or complaints. I always felt like the message would never get through anyways. I guess there would only be one way to figure that out.   If I had my own business I would try to response to as many comments as possible although. If I could make even one more customers happier and come back then I know I will be doing something right. Criticism is key and tiding up your loose ends could come a long way I believe.
