Week 8

We generally use Instagram and Youtube to gain following for our brand. My friend and I who have created We are Nomadik are professional snowboarders, I am more or less retired from it. From being in several videos and magazines we have gained a small following. Most of the people who buy our product are snowboarders or people within the realms of the sport. We currently have 1402 follower on Instagram. We are currently selling in over 20 stores in Japan and only do one line of good per year since we are still small. Our online presence is still weak which is why I am taking this class.
At WEARENOMADIK we are not trying to hit high numbers too fast, we are dedicated to making product of high quality and not quantity. We want to generally learn the industry and make things happen as they come naturally. Creating a demand before creating too much supply is not where we want to be. As of now the past two seasons we have sold out of most product since we don’t make too much anyways.

Our central focus to promote our brand is through having snowboarders, skaters and surfers wear our guy in videos and magazines. This has been working for us and it is gradually growing. We follow several apparel brands and artist pages that we believe will give us inspiration.

Biz or Personal?

Social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram were geared towards personal until mass amounts of people began using it and it became a business platform as well. LinkedIn is very personal in the sense that its buisness oriented and the purpose of the platform is only for that sole purpose. An artistic platform would be something like Tumblr or maybe even Pintrest. Most photographers or graphic designers on Tumblr and Pintrest seem to have a deeper interest into their personal art or work or feature or whatever you want to call it. Although they may be seeking attention and popularity it is more of a one way street on the communication level.
Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter obviously are big players in the world of business. There are more users, they can target their market and live (real time )information is available depending on the situation. However there are many cases where things are not what they seem to be and pictures and videos can be misleading. LinkedIn wo…

Week 3

In previous years I was never the type to contact a business unless it was a reservation at a restaurants or something on a very light matter. They either pick up or they don’t and thats all. I never have commented or direct messaged a business about my concerns or complaints. I always felt like the message would never get through anyways. I guess there would only be one way to figure that out.
If I had my own business I would try to response to as many comments as possible although. If I could make even one more customers happier and come back then I know I will be doing something right. Criticism is key and tiding up your loose ends could come a long way I believe.

Week 1

I chose the Notable theme because I like the colors and its simplicity. Bold and simple is the way to go. Kind of had to play around with the site to figure it out. Never was too into the whole "blogging" experience so this will be new for me. Not too much to say otherwise!
